This photo was taken 9-7-09 on a hike through a random part of Mt. Uhmanum off the side of Hicks road in San Jose, CA. There is alot about this photo that is beautiful to me. The colors of the fall leaves on the moss covered rocks and trees and a nice color contrast against the mostly neutral colors of the rest of the scenery. The ripple in the pond is only coming from the small waterfall in between the rocks, so it doesn't just look like regular turbulent water. It is a very calm and serene photo that shows how beautiful even the small stuff is in nature.
